DREAM title challenger Gegard Mousasi wants three more fights in 2010

Former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion and current DREAM title
contender has never been one to sit around much between fights.

After a 31-second dispatching of UFC vet Jake O’Brien at this past
weekend’s DREAM.15 event, Mousasi is already itching to get back in
action.

Three times, in fact.

Strikeforce Challengers 9 weigh-ins set for Thursday in Washington

Weigh-ins for Friday’s “Strikeforce Challengers 9: Del Rosario vs. Mahe”
event are scheduled for Thursday at Comcast Arena of Everett in
Everett, Wash.

The event, which begins at 7 p.m. PT local time (10 p.m. ET), is free
and open to the public.

The same venue also hosts Friday’s fight card, which airs on Showtime.

Miesha Tate added to Strikeforce’s 135-pound tourney at Strikeforce Challengers 10

Washington-based grappling ace Miesha Tate is the
third official contestant in Strikeforce’s upcoming four-woman 135-pound
tournament.

Strikeforce officials recently announced the addition of Tate, who joins
Hitomi Akano and Maiju Kujala in
the single night tourney.

While the final slot has yet to be determined, the four women will
square off at Strikeforce Challengers 10, which takes place on Aug. 13 at the Dodge Theatre
in Phoenix, Ariz.

Poll results: Which Bellator champion is most likely to lose his belt?

With Bellator’s second season complete, the company’s four champions
each now know which challenger they will face in the rapidly approaching
third season in company history.

With that in mind, our weekly MMAjunkie.com/”Inside MMA” poll asked
readers to predict which champion was least likely to maintain his belt
in his upcoming title defense.

The results were revealed on this past Friday’s new edition of HDNet’s
weekly MMA news show, and while Eddie Alvarez, Lyman Good, Hector
Lombard and Joe Soto each received a healthy amount of votes, one
champion was targeted heavily by our readers.

UFC on Versus 2 weigh-ins set for July 31; Krzysztof Soszynski hosts Q&A session

Weigh-ins for the upcoming UFC on Versus 2 event take place Friday, July
31, at the San Diego Sports Arena in San Diego, Calif.

The same venue hosts the following night’s fight card, which features a
headliner of Jon Jones vs. Vladimir Matyushenko and three other
televised bouts.

Light heavyweight contender winner Krzysztof Soszynski hosts a Q&A
session prior to the weigh-ins at 5 p.m. ET (2 p.m. PT local time).

With cash infusion, DREAM targets international expansion, pay-per-view model

DREAM’s American representative says the Japanese promotion’s prosperity
depends not only on new capital, but a plan to spend it well.

And when that happens, DREAM hopes more fans will part with their cash.

Mike Kogan, Director of FEG USA, on Friday told MMAjunkie.com that the lucrative new deal between DREAM’s parent
company, Fighting and Entertainment Group, and Shanghai-based investment
bank PUJI Capital is an important step in regaining MMA’s foothold in
Japan and the rest of the world.
